Entry Requirements for the Diamante Net Blockchain Hackathon 2024

Eligibility:

  • Open to individuals and teams worldwide.
  • Open to developers and blockchain enthusiasts of all skill levels.

Registration & Team Composition:

  • Each team must have a designated leader to handle registration.
  • Typically, teams can consist of 2-4 members, including the leader. A team mentor is optional but recommended.
  • Members can be from different institutions or companies.
  • Projects must be original; plagiarism will result in disqualification.

Technical Requirements:

  • All projects must be built on the Diamante Net blockchain platform.
  • Participants must use their own computers and internet connections.
  • All coding must be original. Use of open-source libraries is permitted but must be properly cited.

Project Submission:

  • All projects must be submitted through the hackathon’s designated submission portal.
    • Submissions must include
    • A working prototype of the application built during the hackathon.
    • Access to a repository (e.g., GitHub) containing the code, with a README explaining how to install and run the project.
    • A short video (3-5 minutes) demonstrating the project and explaining the problem it solves and how it uses Diamante Net.
    • A presentation deck summarizing the project and its impact.

Code of Conduct:

  • Participants are encouraged to collaborate, help beginners, and maintain a respectful and inclusive environment.
  • Participants retain rights to their projects, but grant organizers certain usage rights for promotional purposes.

Intellectual Property:

  • Participants retain ownership of their projects and intellectual property.
  • By entering the hackathon, participants grant the organizers permission to use their projects for promotional purposes in connection with the hackathon.

Compliance with Local Laws:

  • Participants are responsible for ensuring their compliance with local laws and regulations.
  • The organizers are not responsible for any legal issues that arise from a participant’s hackathon entry.

Hackathon Rules

  • All work should be done during the hackathon. Pre-existing projects can be used if they are significantly improved during the event.
  • Teams can use libraries, frameworks, or open-source code. However, pre-event work solely for use during the hackathon is not allowed.
  • A working demo and presentation are typically required for submission.
